Oils on canvas, quite big but not huge. Mabye 2' x 1'6" - ish

Its Soweto Kinch, who is truly fabulous. Source pic is in scraps.

Now, that's what I'm talking about! I feel like I just finished listening to some jazz back home in New Orleans and I needs me a plate of Jambalaya and some iced lemon tea to make the night complete. Very nicely done, even down to the fuzziness in the shirt and the skewed focus on the ref pic that obscured the mouthpiece of the sax.

I really appreciate the way you take an interest in my work and always have something nice to say about it. I thought of you quite a bit when I painted it, as you prompted me to take it on. It felt like a nice move as the blurriness of the photograph pushed me towards a more impressionistic approach, and I feel I need that - to free myself up a bit.

As for the life in the pic, I think maybe you have given it more than I did - and I thank you for that too! :hug:

Lots of great stuff happening all over the place :) You might want to take a better picture though, there's a lot of estra noise happening
